The Companhia Portuária Baía de Sepetiba – CPBS, belonging to Vale, acquired in November of 2010 a new control cabin created through Grupo C+ Tecnologia, for operation of its ship-loader in Itaguaí, based in the Costa Verde region (Southern region in the state of Rio de Janeiro).

CPBS possesses 100,000 m² of extension and four stock-yards with embarking capacity of 2 million tons per month. In 2009 alone, the total production was 19.6 million tons.

Technical Characteristics

– Guarantee of thermo-acoustic isolation through the use of double-plated glass and double-sheeted carbon steel or stainless steel, the internal space between them being filled with rockwool insulation.

– Full field of vision for the operator in relation to the cargo operation, including translucent glass in the entire floor, frontal and lateral.

– Climatization of the cabin through utilization of industrial air conditioning.

– Reduction of noises generated through excessive vibrating of the machine through the utilization of tubular structures (constructive form of the cabin).

– Guarantee of higher security against cargo collision through the use of external tempered glass and internal laminated glass.
– Easy access for external cleaning and maintenance: windshield wipers and glass removal through the use of tilting windows (floor and glass frontal/ lateral).
– Ergonomic control station with movable base, consoles with flange in stainless steel, and extremely comfortable chair with more than 11 different settings, enabling adequacy for different operators’ biotypes, intelligent disposal of elements using technology that eliminates inadequate movements that may cause neglect to the operator or LER, IHM support, and clipboard support, in addition to special joysticks for intense applications with ergonomic handholds and support for the handles.

– Greater accessibility through the intelligent installation of internal materials such as: PLC/ remote and force framework embedded panel, retractable chair, control station supplied with track and/ or turning base.

– Electrical and mechanical installation of all cabin accessories: Fixture, air conditioning, emergency telephone, radio communicator, drinking fountain, EPI closet door, monitor camera system, multiplexer, cable and box controllers, fire extinguishing system, synoptic panels, among others.

– Access platform and mechanical fixation system of the projected cabin, as well as new center of gravity (if necessary) according to the requirements of the operation.
